1Established 23 February 1990 by the IUCr Commission on Crystallographic Nomenclature, with all members including A. J. C. Wilson (Chairman) and W. Opechowski appointed 7 May 1990, under general ground rules outlined in Acta Cryst. (1979), A35, 1072. A. J. C. Wilson resigned 1 July 1993, W. Opechowski 25 February 1992 and H. Wondratschek 10 August 1996. T. Janssen was appointed Chairman 1 July 1993. Professor Opechowski died 27 September 1993 and Professor Wilson 1 July 1995.
