Owing to a copying error, the formula in §2.1(iv) of the paper by Authier & Malgrange [Acta Cryst. (1998 ), A54, 806-819 ] is erroneous and should be replaced by:

$[I_h = {R^2 \lambda ^2 (1+\cos^2 2\theta) \over 2 \sin^2 \theta} {t^2\over V^2} \vert F_{hkl } \vert{} ^2 \left[{\sin (2 \pi kt \cos \theta \Delta \theta) \over (2 \pi kt \cos \theta \Delta \theta) }\right]^2. ]$
