(b) are the mean intensities × numbers for the `specular' (i) and the `non-specular' (ii). (c) gives the ratio of the proportions of `specular' (i) and `non-specular' (ii) to the overall intensity. (d) and (e) are similar to (a) and (c), except the calculations are based on 3 µm crystallites. (f) compares directly with (c), except the calculation is for 10 µm crystallites with defects, i.e. diffuse scattering is included.
