Network of icosahedra in hP386-Al57.4Cu3.6Ta39.0. On the left the pentagonal Ta-bifrustum centered by a pentagonal bipyramid is shown, as well as its assembly by five icosahedra. Transferring this principle to all Ta-bifrusta, as well as the remaining positions in the fullerene-like cluster shells, a mantle of partially interpenetrating icosahedra around sites 2a (not shown) and 2c (right) can be found.
