PbSe2O5 forms a three-dimensional network with each diselenite ion bridging five Pb ions and with five diselenite ions grouped around each Pb ion. The coordination around Pb comprises six O atoms forming a dented one-sided octahedron with 2 + 2 O atoms near Pb but with longer Pb-O distances.

LiBrO4.H2ZO, whose found to be isomorphic with NaBrO4.H2O and NaClO4.H2O. Dynamic disordering of the H atoms (detailed by magnetic resonance methods for NaClO4.H2O) is found to be significant in the title salt.

Special and virtual issues

Acta Crystallographica Section C is planning special issues on

The Structural Chemistry of Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Catalysts

NMR Crystallography.

Full details are available on the special issues page.

The latest virtual issue, featuring Coordination polymers and with an introduction by Len Barbour, was published in July 2014.
