Synopsis: Neodymium-doped Sr5(PO4)3F and Sr5(VO4)3F crystallize in the space group P63/m. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction is used to show that while both structures contain two different Sr sites, Nd is present at only one site in (Sr,Nd)5(PO4)3F, but present at both sites in (Sr,Nd)5(VO4)3F.
