Synopsis: LiMoP2O7 is isotypic with LiVP2O7 and LiFeP2O7. The structure is built up from MoP2O11 units, each of which comprises an MoO6 octahedron sharing corners with a bidentate P2O7 group. The MoP2O11 units share all corners to form a framework and the Li+ ions are located within the tunnels in this framework.

Synopsis: PbFe2III(P2O7)2 crystallizes to form two types of metallic column, one containing uniquely FeIII and the other with alternating Pb and Fe atoms. The crystalline structure of BaFe2III(P2O7)2 is characterized by chains of Fe-O octahedra sharing faces with Ba-O decahedra and linked by corner-sharing Fe-O octahedra.

A New Form of Lithium Zinc Phosphate with an Ordered Phenakite Structure, LiZnPO4

Synopsis: A phenakite form of LiZnPO4 is reported. The structure is non-centrosymmetric and contains channels parallel to the c axis. The Li, Zn and P atoms are tetrahedrally coordinated and strictly alternate within the columns of tetrahedra along the c axis.
