The structure of the new compound Li15Al3Si6 is described as consisting of interpenetrating anionic and cationic lattices, namely a graphite-like Li3Al3Si6 layer and a distorted diamond-like lithium lattice.
The crystal structure of LaTiO3.41 consists of (110) perovskite-type slabs with a width of five TiO6 octahedra, which are separated by additional oxygen layers. A superstructure is observed in the  direction.
NaCa4Nb5O17 belongs to the AnBnO3n+2 family. The structure consists of perovskite-related blocks of distorted NbO6 octahedral layers. Na atoms partially replace Ca inside the blocks, but not in the cavities between blocks.
