In Ce3Fe1.94S7, which adopts the Ce6Al3.33S14 structure type, isolated FeS4 tetrahedra, all pointing in the same direction, are stacked along the threefold rotation axes. Chains of face-sharing FeS6 octahedra are connected by CeS7+1 bicapped trigonal prisms.

The LiH2PO2 and Be(H2PO2)2 structures consist of layers of cations bridged by hypophosphite anions. The cations are tetrahedrally coordinated by oxygen.

A new non-symmetrical form of LiMoO2(AsO4) has been synthesized by a solid-state reaction method. It crystallizes in monoclinic space group P21. The three-dimensional open framework is built up of corner-sharing AsO4 tetrahedra and MoO6 octahedra containing tunnels running along the a axis, where Li+ cations are located.
