Cover illustration: Part of the crystal structure of ethyl 5-amino-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-1H-imidazole-4-carboxylate, showing the formation of a hydrogen-bonded chain along [001]. For the sake of clarity, H atoms not involved in the motifs shown have been omitted and only one orientation of the disordered ethyl group is shown. Tb2Ni2Mg3 is a new structure type, derived from Ru3Al2B2, which can be viewed as the first representative of a homologous linear structure series based on the α-Fe, CsCl and AlB2 structure types. The Tb atoms in the structure are enclosed in 17-vertex polyhedra, while rhombododecahedra and distorted rhombododecahedra surround the Mg atoms, and equatorially tricapped trigonal prisms form around the Ni atoms.

Acta Crystallographica Section C is planning special issues on

The Structural Chemistry of Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Catalysts

NMR Crystallography.

Full details are available on the special issues page.

The latest virtual issue, featuring Coordination polymers and with an introduction by Len Barbour, was published in July 2014.
