The title compound contains chains of edge-sharing distorted VO6 octa­hedra. Pyramidal TeO3 groups and unusual capped trigonal–bipyramidal LiO6 polyhedra complete a three-dimensional structure.

The structure of the title compound consists of layers of [Ru2Cl10O]4− and [Ba(H2O)7]2+ ions alternating along the c axis. The overall structure is held together by O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds and O—H⋯Cl dipole–dipole inter­actions.

KSrNb2O6F consists of double perovskite slabs, [SrNb2O6F], and inter­layer K+ ions. Within the perovskite slabs, the NbO5F octa­hedra are tilted about the a axis and the O2− and F ions exhibit an ordered distribution.

A new phase with the composition ZnTe6O13 was identified with trigonal (R\overline{3}) symmetry. The structure consists of an infinite three-dimensional network of Zn atoms coordinated in a distorted octa­hedral fashion by TeO4 and TeO3+1 polyhedra.

The structural topology of the new synthetic material Ca3GeO4Cl2 is described and compared with the olivine-type Ca2GeO4 and norbergite-type Mg3SiO4F2.
