Synopsis: In the structures of Ca[IrF₆]·2H₂O and Sr[IrF₆]·2H₂O, the cations have distorted square-antiprismatic coordinations. In Ba[IrF₆], the cation has a cuboctahedral coordination. All three structures can be described as frameworks.
