Synopsis: The crystal structure of GeTe₂O₆, a phase already known but previously indexed in the wrong unit cell and symmetry, has been determined from single-crystal data in the P2₁/n space group. It consists of a three-dimensional framework of isolated GeO₆ octahedra connected only via isolated TeO₃ units.

Synopsis: Li₂Zn₃(P₂O₇)₂ has two symmetry-independent sites for Zn atoms; one is fully occupied and the other is disordered as Zn²⁺ and Li⁺ in a 1:1 ratio. [ZnO₅] bipyramids build up infinite zigzag chains by sharing edges with each other. Half of the Li⁺ cations are disordered on Zn sites and the other half occupy symmetry-independent positions, with site-occupancy factors of 0.5.
