Synopsis: Ag_2.54Tl₂Mo₁₂Se₁₅ constitutes a new structure type containing Mo₆ and Mo₉ clusters. Contrary to the previous mixed Mo₆/Mo₉ cluster compounds in which the cluster ratio is 1:1, in the title compound the Mo₆ and Mo₉ clusters are in a 1:2 ratio.
