The Technische Universität München operates the Forschungsneutronenquelle Heinz Maier-Leibnitz (FRM II) in Garching which is one of the leading neutron sources world wide.

We invite applications for five

Research Scientists

for operating and further development of neutron beam facilities in the field of

tomography
time-of-flight spectroscopy
spin-echo spectroscopy
three-axis spectroscopy
prompt gamma activation analysis

Responsibilities include cooperation with visiting researchers, conducting experiments and development of experimental equipment for the above mentioned topics. The incumbents are expected to perform their own independent research taking advantage of the wide range of neutron instrumentation available at the FRM II.

The appointment will initially be limited to three years with the possibility of extension. The Technische Universität München is an equal opportunity employer. For applicants with a strong background from prior post-doctoral experiences a Habilitation may be supported.
