Figure 7 Representation of the Patterson self-rotation function of the set of structure factors in space group P63 for PPAT (using a spherical integration radius of 30  Å and diffraction data between 10 and 3.0  Å resolution) was produced using GLRF (Tong & Rossmann, 1990). The diagram shows the presence of a strong twofold along the crystallographic c axis ( = 90, = 90, = 180°) as is usually expected for a crystallographic sixfold axis. Additionally, there are twofold peaks occurring every 30° in the ab plane. The total number of peaks is 12 and this suggests an erroneously high space group of the P6/mmm Laue family.
