Crystal-to-crystal phase transition observed between 890 and 950 MPa. (a) Change in the unit cell associated with the transition. The space group changes from P43212 to P43. Four molecules are included in the asymmetric unit of the new P43 cell, whereas the original unit cell contains one molecule in the asymmetric unit. The molecule corresponding to that contained in the asymmetric unit of the original P43212 cell is colour-coded according to secondary structure and other three molecules are shown in grey. (b, c) General displacement of molecules after phase transition from the four corresponding molecules at 0.1 MPa viewed from two different directions. The arrows are the vectors between the Cα positions of the two structures. Molecules A and C approach each other along the c axis. To facilitate visualization, displacements larger than the threshold of 0.5 Å are drawn and the lengths of the vectors are magnified threefold.
