Piperidinium p-nitrobenzoate

Abstract: A new type of hydrogen-bond pattern for piperidinium p-substituted benzoates is reported; this is found in piperidinium p-nitrobenzoate, C₅H₁₂N⁺·C₇H₄NO₄^-, (I). In the crystal of (I), the cations and anions are linked by N-HO hydrogen bonds around a center of symmetry to form a cyclic dimer of the formula unit.
