2,2-exo-3,5,6-Pentabromobicycloheptane

Abstract: The title compound, C₇H₇Br₅, consists of a norbornane skeleton composed of two five-membered rings in envelope conformations or a six-membered ring with five Br atoms held in a boat conformation by a bridging methylene group. The repulsive interactions between the Br atoms affect the topology of the norbornane moieties.
