Abstract: The cations and anions in the title compound, C₁₈H₂₂BN₂⁺·CF₃SO₃^-, are connected by intermolecular C-HO hydrogen bonds, with HO distances between 2.34 and 2.60  Å, into layers parallel to the bc plane.
