Abstract: The stereochemistry of the title compound, C₁₅H₂₆O₃, has been established. The compound crystallizes with three molecules in the asymmetric unit and significant variations in the bond distances and angles are reported. Intermolecular hydrogen bonds are observed between the hydroxyl groups.
