Abstract: The title compound, [CoCl2(C4H12N2)2]Cl·H2O, (I), has an octahedral coordination geometry. The conformations of the seven-membered chelate rings are disordered between the twist-chair and twist-boat forms. The space group of (I) is Cc, although the structure has a pseudo-center of symmetry.
