Abstract: In the crystal structure of 2,4,6-trimethoxybenzoic acid, C10H12O5, the molecules form hydrogen-bonded chains. The carboxyl group is in a syn conformation. The lone pair of electrons acting as the hydrogen bond acceptor is in an anti orientation.
