Bis(-tricyanomethanido)tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)dicopper(I)

Abstract: Colourless crystals of the title compound, [Cu₂(C₄N₃)₂(C₁₈H₁₅P)₄], were obtained by the reaction of CuC(CN)₃ with excess of molten PPh₃. The crystal structure contains centrosymmetric dimeric units bridged by two C(CN)₃ ligands. The Cu atoms have a distorted tetrahedral coordination.
