Abstract: In the title compound, (2S,3R,3aR)-2-(1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-3,3a-dihydro-3a-methoxy-3-methyl-5-(2-propenyl)-6(2H)-benzofuranone, C₂₀H₂₀O₅, the furan ring has a half-chair conformation with its O atom on the twist axis. The semiquinone ring is slightly non-planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.065 (3) Å.
