Abstract: The conformation of the title compound, C22H18N4O6S, is stabilized by a strong resonance-assisted intramolecular hydrogen bond linking the hydrazone moiety and the sulfonyl group. The resulting six-membered ring is practically planar. Short intramolecular contacts link oppositely charged atoms of the sulfonyl and
-carbonyl groups. The crystal packing is influenced by intermolecular hydrogen bonds involving the
-carbonyl O atoms and the N-H bonds of the terminal acetamide moieties.
