Abstract: The crystal and molecular structure of the title compound, [RhCl(C8H12){P(C6H5)3}], has been determined by means of X-ray diffraction. Compounds of this nature are important because of their ability to act as homogenous hydrogenation catalysts and to serve as precursors for more elaborate compounds.
