Abstract: The crystal and molecular structure of the title compound, [RhCl(C₈H₁₂){P(C₆H₅)₃}], has been determined by means of X-ray diffraction. Compounds of this nature are important because of their ability to act as homogenous hydrogenation catalysts and to serve as precursors for more elaborate compounds.
