Abstract: The synthetic route to and the chemical structure of a new chiral Schiff base, C₅₀H₆₄N₂O₂, derived from (R)-H8-BINAM [(R)-5,5',6,6',7,7',8,8'-octahydro-1,1'-binaphthyl-2,2'-diamine] are reported.
