Abstract: The title compound, [Re₂(-PEt₂)₂(CO)₇{ax-C(Ph)OEt}] or [Re₂(C₉H₁₀O)(C₄H₁₀P)₂(CO)₇], contains a carbene ligand with a Z configuration and a non-planar central Re₂P₂ ring.
