Abstract: The crystal structure of 3,4-lutidine (3,4-dimethylpyridine, C7H9N), has been determined at 150 (2) K following in situ crystal growth from the liquid. In space group C2/c, there are four independent molecules in the asymmetric unit, linked into dimers via C-H
N interactions.
