Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C26H17NO3, the indole moiety is essentially planar. The benzoyl substituent is perpendicular to the indole moiety as well as to the phenylethynyl substituent. In the crystal, the molecules exist as centrosymmetrically hydrogen-bonded dimers.
