Abstract: The zinc centre in the monomeric title compound, [Zn(pyrdtc)₂(4,7-Me₂phen)] or [Zn{S₂CN(CH₂)₄}₂(C₁₄H₁₂N₂)], exists within a N₂S₄-donor set that defines a distorted octahedral geometry. The dithiocarbamate ligands are chelating, forming essentially symmetric Zn-S bonds.
