Abstract: The title compound, C₂₃H₂₈N₂O₅, contains a linear intramolecular hydrogen bond between the hydroxy group and the carbonyl O atom of the amide moiety. The phthalimide ring system is planar. Two short C-HO contacts link the molecules to form highly indented layers parallel to the ab plane.
