Bis(3-amino-2-chloropyridine-N)silver(I) perchlorate

Abstract: In the title compound, [Ag(C₅H₅ClN₂)₂]ClO₄, the Ag^I atom is surrounded by two pyridyl N atoms [2.197  (4) and 2.199  (4)  Å] in a linear AgN₂ geometry. Adjacent mononuclear [Ag(3-amino-2-chloropyridine)₂]⁺ species are interlinked through weak AgN(amine) and AgO(perchlorate) coordination contacts and extensive hydrogen-bonding and - interactions, resulting in a three-dimensional supramolecular network in the solid.
