C. M. Reynoso-Paz, M. M. Olmstead, M. J. Kurth and N. E. Schore

Abstract: A new chiral catalyst for the enantioselective Diels-Alder reaction has been synthesized, namely [(4S,4'S)-4,4',5,5'-tetrahydro-4,4'-diisopropyl-2,2'-(dibenzylmethylene)dioxazole-[kappa]2N,N']bis(trifluoromethanesulfonato-[kappa]O)copper(II) tetrahydrofuran solvate, [Cu(CF3O3S)2(C27H34N2O2)]·C4H8O. It is used in a model study for comparing solid-phase and solution-phase catalyst activity.
