A palladium(0) complex of dibenzylideneacetone and a chelating diphosphine

Abstract: In the crystal structure of [Pd{²-PhCH=CHC(O)CH=CHPh}{(C₆H₁₁)₂PCH₂CH₂P(C₆H₁₁)₂}] or [Pd(²-dba)(dcpe)], where dba is dibenzylideneacetone (C₁₇H₁₄O) and dcpe is 1,2-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)ethane (C₂₆H₄₈P₂), the complex has a trigonal-planar coordination and only one double bond of the dba ligand is coordinated to the metal.
