Abstract: The molecular components, 2C14H10Br2·C14H10, are arranged in separate stacks in this ordered structure. There is no evidence of
-
intermolecular interaction. Diphenylethyne lies on a crystallographic inversion centre. The structure can be represented as centrosymmetric trimolecular units, held together by a C-H
ring interaction between a stilbene and each of the phenyl groups of the diphenylethyne (H
Cgring 2.66 Å; Cgring indicates a ring centroid).
