Abstract: The title compound contains HPO3 pseudo-pyramids [dav(P-O) = 1.516 (2) Å], ZnO4 tetrahedra [dav(Zn-O) = 1.939 (2) Å], and trans-ZnO2(H2O)4 octahedra. These building units link together by way of Zn-O-P bridges [![[theta]](/logos/entities/thetas_rmgif.gif)
av = 128.1°], resulting in a layered structure.
