(3S,4R)-4-(2,5-Dimethoxyphenyl)-8-methoxyisochroman-3-ol

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₈H₂₀O₅, the hydroxyl and dimethoxyphenyl substituents are in axial positions. The heterocyclic ring is in a half-chair conformation. The molecules are linked by O-HO hydrogen bonds, leading to the formation of a chain extended throughout the whole of the crystal.
