O)copper(II) nitrateAbstract: The copper(II) ion in the title compound, [Cu(NO3)(mepyz)4(H2O)]NO3, where mepyz is 2-methylpyrazine (C5H6N2), has a distorted octahedral geometry with four N atoms of the methylpyrazine ligands in the equatorial positions and two O atoms from water and semi-coordinated nitrate moieties in the axial sites.
