Abstract: In the 1:1 molecular complex of 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid and phenazine, C7H4N2O7·C12H8N2, the carboxylic acid group forms an O-H
N hydrogen bond to only one of the two heterocyclic N atoms. The structure is also stabilized extensively by C-H
O hydrogen bonds.
