Abstract: The crystal structure analysis of the title compound, C6H4(NHC2O3C2H5)2 or C14H16N2O6, reveals a molecule with both oxamate groups twisted with respect to the benzene ring, as a result of steric interactions and the presence of three strong N-H
O and one weak C-H
O intramolecular hydrogen bonds. Centrosymmetrically related molecules form dimers connected by two N-H
O hydrogen bonds.
