(Acetylacetonato)bis(1,10'-phenanthroline-N,N')manganese(II) perchlorate

Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound, [Mn(C₅H₇O₂)(C₁₂H₈N₂)₂](ClO₄), contains a monomeric [Mn(phen)₂(acac)]⁺ cation and a perchlorate anion [phen is 1,10'-phenanthroline (C₁₂H₈N₂) and acac is acetylacetonate (C₅H₇O₂)]. The Mn^II ion is coordinated by four N atoms from the phen ligands [Mn-N 2.253  (4)-2.322  (4)  Å] and two O atoms of the acac ligand [Mn-O 2.116  (3) and 2.124  (3)  Å] in chelating mode, forming a distorted octahedral geometry.
