Abstract: Dy4(SiS4)3 is isotypic with Tb4(SiS4)3 [Hatscher & Urland (2002). Z. Anorg. Allg. Chem. 628, 1673-1677]. It contains almost undistorted, isolated (SiS4)4- tetrahedra and four crystallographically different Dy positions with coordination numbers seven and eight.
