Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound, CoK2(H2P2O7)2·2H2O, is, to our knowledge, the first example of a mixed-metal dihydrogendiphosphate, containing an alkali earth metal and a divalent transition metal. The metal ions and the two water O atoms are located on a crystallographic mirror plane.
