An oxygen-bridged bis(sila[1]ferrocenophane), [Fe(-C₅H₄)₂Si(Me)]₂O

Abstract: In the title compound, [Fe(C₅H₄)₂(CH₃Si)]₂O, the cyclopentadienyl rings in both ferrocenophane moieties are tilted towards the bridging Si atoms, with tilt angles of 19.7  (2) and 20.7  (2)°; the central Si-O-Si angle is 143.25  (12)°.
