Bis[dichloro-⁶-indaneruthenium(II)] dichloroform solvate

Abstract: In the chloroform solvate of the dinuclear ruthenium complex [RuCl₂(⁶-indane)]₂, C₁₈H₂₀Cl₄Ru₂·2CHCl₃, accessible from RuCl₃·nH₂O and bicyclo[4.3.0]nona-3,6(1)-diene, the indane ligands adopt an envelope conformation toward the ruthenium atoms. The dimeric chloro-bridged molecule has crystallographic inversion symmetry.
