Aqua[()-lactate-O,O'](1,10-phenanthroline-²N,N')copper(II) nitrate

Abstract: In the structure of the title compound, [Cu(C₃H₅O₃)(C₁₂H₈N₂)(H₂O)]NO₃, the Cu^II ion is five-coordinated through two N atoms of the 1,10-phenanthroline ligand, two O atoms of the lactate anion and a water molecule. The cations are well separated in the unit cell, the shortest metal-metal separation being 6.2127  (8)  Å.
