2N,N')copper(II) nitrateAbstract: In the structure of the title compound, [Cu(C3H5O3)(C12H8N2)(H2O)]NO3, the CuII ion is five-coordinated through two N atoms of the 1,10-phenanthroline ligand, two O atoms of the lactate anion and a water molecule. The cations are well separated in the unit cell, the shortest metal-metal separation being 6.2127 (8) Å.
