Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cu₂Cl₂(C₁₅H₁₁N₃)₂](ClO₄)₂, consists of a centrosymmetric binuclear dication, [Cu₂(terpyridine)₂Cl₂]²⁺, and two perchlorate anions. In the dication, both Cu atoms have a 4+1 coordination, in an approximate square-pyramidal geometry.
