Abstract: In the title compound, C₆H₁₂NO₄⁺·Cl^-, the cations and anions are joined together via strong hydrogen bonds, forming infinite chains running along the [100] direction. The cation has crystallographic mirror symmetry, and the anion also lies on a mirror plane.
